ASPIRANT (n.) One who aspires, as to advancement, honors, or a high position. (adj.) Seeking recognition, distinction, or advancement.

GOAL OF A YA/YA ASPIRANT: To learn the basics of YA/YA's art programs and acquire necessary skills to become an Apprentice.

Responsibilities

• Attend studio a minimum of 2 days per week
• Know basic YA/YA history
• Produce a YA block
• Produce Artpentry piece from scratch
• Produce a bag
• Produce greeting cards and envelopes
• Basic sales knowledge
• Participate in one show/event
• Begin using Vade Mecum (artist personal binder)
• 3 hours of community service per semester
• Apply for Apprentice status
