Coming Home Murals

Sponsored by Shell Oil, YA/YA is producing four public murals in four parishes in the Greater New Orleans area. YA/YA artists work with local youth from each parish to design and produce a public mural that depicts images from that parish. The first of the four murals is located in Orleans Parish on the side wall of the Contemporary Arts Center on Camp St. in the Central Business District. The second mural for Jefferson Parish was completed with youth from Jefferson Parish at Ames Elementary school. The third and fourth murals for Plaquemines and St. Tammany Parishes are scheduled to be completed by Fall 2009.
