GUILD (n.) 1. An association of persons of the same trade or pursuits, formed to protect mutual interests and maintain standards.

GOAL OF A YA/YA GUILD MEMBER: To serve as youth leader of the Guild by actively participating and assisting in YA/YA projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct experience in all YA/YA specialities (Urban Heroes, Inner-City Threads, Print YA/YA, Artpentry, Special Events)
• Voted in by current Guild members
• 7 hours of community service per semester
• Lead a YA/YA history presentation
• Begin college or alternative preparation (i.e. taking ACTs)
• Comprehensively updated Vade Mecum including resumes, bios, statements, portfolio
• Regular participation in curating, managing, and attending shows and events
