Senior Guild
SENIOR GUILD (n.) A worker qualified to teach apprentices and carry on the craft independently.
GOAL OF A YA/YA SENIOR GUILD MEMBER: To inspire and give back to lower levels, while actively pursuing personal and career goals.
Responsibilties
- Achievement of Guild status during high school
- A "professional plan" (college, trade school, internship, artist residency, etc.)
- Internal commitment to YA/YA (retreats, special events, workshops, portfolio presentations, hosting YA/YAs out-of-state, etc.): Minimum 20-hour commitment per calendar year
- 10 hours of community service per semester
- Complete and submit a finished artwork twice a year for display and sale in YA/YA gallery or "YA Spot"
- Maintain a current resume/bio
Benefits

- Eligible for paid art mentorships, contracts, collaborative works, murals, and commissions
- Governing role in Guild structure

- Can take up to a one-year leave of absence
- 80% of art sales earned
